House rules

Welcome to Dental Practice Leidschendam. Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Quality, attention and safety are an important part of this. We have therefore drawn up the house rules below.

This way we ensure a pleasant and safe visit to our dental practice.

 

Your visit

  • During our introduction, we collect as much information as possible to get a good picture of your oral health. A health questionnaire is part of this.
  • Treatments take place by appointment only.
  • As much as possible, arrive at the agreed appointment time. This way we can help everyone at the agreed time.
  • It can happen that treatment runs late, for example if the dentist has to treat an emergency. You may have to wait a while until it is your turn. The run-out cannot be recovered from the dentist in any way. We hope for your understanding for this.

 

Changes, cancellation or failure to keep an appointment

  • Can your appointment not go ahead? Please let us know by e-mail or telephone. You can cancel your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before the start.
  • Report changes in insurance, (email) address, telephone number or medication use in a timely manner. This can also be done via the contact form on this website.
  • We send our patients an appointment reminder by email two days before the scheduled appointment. This is a free service that we provide to our patients, from which no rights can be derived. If you do not receive a reminder from us, this does not mean that your appointment will not go ahead.
  • As a courtesy, you will receive a “call” from us for your six-monthly check-up by email.

 

Emergencies and/or pain complaints

  • In case of emergencies or pain complaints, you can contact the practice directly during opening hours. Outside opening hours and during our holidays you can call the emergency department on 0900-8602.
  • If an emergency or pain complaint occurs during our opening hours, in most cases we can see you the same day if you call between 10 a.m. and 12 noon.
  • When treating emergency and pain complaints, we cannot always take your specific wishes and preferences into account in connection with working or school hours.

 

Privacy

  • We think your privacy is important. Patient information is not forwarded or disclosed to third parties without consultation with the dentist and with the patient's knowledge. All information remains within the practice premises, unless it concerns information for a specialist or general practitioner who needs the information for medical research (referral).
  • Respect the privacy of patients and team members, also on social media.
  • Do you want to make a photo, film or sound recording? Then ask permission in advance from those who appear on screen or can be heard.

 

Safety

  • Aggressive behavior, verbal or otherwise, will not be tolerated and will result in immediate deregistration.
  • We report theft, vandalism and aggression to the police.
  • Do you see an unsafe situation? Please report this to one of our team members.

 

Properties

  • We are not liable for damage, loss or theft of your property.
  • You can hand in lost items to one of our team members. These are kept for you at our practice for 14 days.

 

Suggestions and comments

To improve the care we offer our patients, we would like to receive your suggestions, ideas, comments regarding treatment, guidance, information provision, waiting room, practice, treatment room or other matters. This can be done in the practice itself, but also via e-mail or the contact form. We are happy to help you.
